Huron Man Dies of Injuries from 2-Vehicle Crash

A Huron man died Sunday of injuries he received five days earlier in a two-vehicle crash south of Huron, in Beadle County.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 20-year-old Bo Mutchelknaus failed to stop at a stop sign on a gravel road and his vehicle was struck by one driven by an Alpena man shortly before 5pm Tuesday.

Mutchelknaus's pickup rolled onto the driver's side and slid into a ditch, while the other vehicle wound up in a driveway.

Mutchelknaus was not wearing a seatbelt. The other driver, 64-year-old Efrain Alveno-Lopez, was wearing a seatbelt. He received serious injuries.
