Would you ever consider hiring a professional "sleep trainer" to work with your baby? No, I'm serious.

That seems to be the latest craze among new parents - hiring someone to come in and "sleep train" your baby. Some trainers even go as far as requiring the parents to leave for a few days so as not to be a distraction.

According to a recent article in Redbook Magazine, those who've hired a "sleep trainer" claim it's the best money they've ever spent.

For your information, a professional sleep trainer charges around $30 per hour.

Sleep training infants does not come without controversy however. Opponents argue it's the ultimate in selfishness.

Those who support the idea say it makes for a much happier home-life.
