J&L Harley Davidson, along with its parent company, unveiled a new 2018 Street Glide designed specifically for those serving on the new USS South Dakota submarine.

The motorcycle features custom paint honoring the Battleship South Dakota along with the new Submarine South Dakota.

The motorcycle was unveiled during a ceremony at J&L Harley Davidson. As part of the unveiling, two US Flags were placed in each saddle bag to stay with the bike.

The motorcycle will be transported to Groton, Connecticut for the christening ceremony of the USS South Dakota on Saturday October 14.

The bike will then be transported back to the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum where it will put on display.

As an added bonus, any seaman who is currently serving, or has served, on the USS South Dakota will get to ride the motorcycle free of charge while in Sturgis.

A set of keys to the motorcycle will also be placed aboard the USS South Dakota before it leaves on its first mission.
