Just in time for what many consider the 'Biggest One Day Event In the Dakota's', Wooden Legs Brewing Company of Brookings, South Dakota is releasing a beer that could be considered the official beer of Hobo Day 2014.

To help provide a little extra Hobo spirit, the Wooden Legs Brewing Company has teamed with student leaders to help create 'Hobo Brew' for those of legal drinking age.

If you aren't able to get to Brookings for South Dakota State University's homecoming, 'Hobo Brew' will be distributed in 20 different sites around South Dakota to help bring a little taste of Brookings to Jackrabbit fans or beer lovers.  Find the locations where 'Hobo Brew' will be distributed and remember to keep checking back as future sites get confirmed and added.

'Hobo Brew' is a cream ale with light golden color that is light and crisp.  Brewers at the Wooden Legs Brewing Company say this easy-to-drink craft brew has a faint malt note in the smell with a subtle hop aroma and is perfect for fall.

"We are extremely excited to be part of the Hobo Day tradition,” said Head Brewer and Wooden Legs Brewing Company General Manager Seth Koch. “As an SDSU grad, Hobo Day will always be a special day. It is a great honor to be asked by student leaders to partner on this project. We believe this beer embodies the spirit of Hobo Day.”

Wooden Legs Brewing Company opened in Brookings, South Dakota on May 13th, 2013 by friends Seth Koch, Steven Kreeger and Brant Mathiason. They worked for several years perfecting their brewing methods and styles before opening the pub at 309 5th Street in Brookings.
