Gas prices dropped again overnight in the U.S. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

You can now get a gallon of gas here in Sioux Falls anywhere between $1.94 and $1.99  depending on where you choose to gas up.

Want even better news? According to the feds, the average person will save $550 on gas in 2015! Can I get another Hallelujah!

There's a good reason to overspend this Christmas, right?

At this rate, gas will be so cheap next year, the gas stations will be paying us to drive!

Okay, now back to reality.

The latest forecast from the government says you'll spend around $1,962 on petrol next year, which is down 20% from this year. The lowest number since 2004.

The question becomes, why is this happening all of a sudden?

Supposedly there are three main reasons. The U.S. has increased its oil production. Demand is lower in Europe and Asia, and more people worldwide are driving hybrids and other efficient automobiles.

Hey, whatever the reason, Merry Christmas!
