The price of gas continues to drop all across the country, including right here in South Dakota.

The average price for a gallon of gas in the Mount Rushmore State is $2.45 per gallon, according to AAA. That is three cents less than a week ago and a nickel less than a month ago. One year ago at this time we were only paying $2.14 per gallon.

“Motorists across the country are paying less to fill-up as U.S. gasoline supply outpaces demand this winter,” said Marilyn Buskohl, AAA spokesperson. “Typically, we see cheaper gas prices this time of year as motorists generally drive less.”
