Several rounds of rain have soaked the Sioux Empire this week. Record-breaking rainfall has led to many flooded streets in Sioux Falls and in many rural areas.

In response, the City of Sioux Falls has opened the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to coordinate response.
Officials ask homeowners to check their sump pumps are working and draining properly.
Several roads in the Sioux Empire are covered with water. Everyone is reminded to please not drive through flooded roadways. All closures will be marked by barricades.
