Easy, Breezy, Beautiful Covergirl Empowers Girls Everywhere #GirlsCan

I believe the first time I saw this commercial was during the closing ceremonies of the Olympics and I loved it.

Sure Covergirl is a brand of beauty products, but it doesn't mean that its spokeswomen need to be porcelain dolls.

I remember when I was younger, Covergirl ads always had models in the ads.  I really give Covergirl kudos for bring in different types of women from all different races, backgrounds, and body types.

Beauty product companies usually get a bad wrap for spreading the notion that you aren't good enough as just you, but with make up you could are.  This ad hopes to break that trend and shows some real female empowerment.

This ad includes Ellen Degeneres, Queen Latifah, Sofia Vergara, Pink, Janelle Monae, Katy Perry, and Becky G.

Basically the ad is saying girls can do anything! And for a lot of women when you tell us we can't, it makes us want to do it more.

Girls really can do anything.  And if they just happen to look fabulous while doing so, then so be it.
