Did Google Street View Run Over a Donkey?

A random guy was looking at a dirt road on Google Street View when he noticed something strange. A donkey was standing in one picture and as it appears the car was moving away, the donkey was lying on the ground in two subsequent photos.

Google is saying that the donkey wasn't hit, that it was lying down first, then got up as the photo car moved away from it, which sounds perfectly plausible, I guess.
