Def Leppard is Bringing the Beer to The July 18 Concert with Journey
Def Leppard is the latest rock act to enter the beer business, and if we're lucky, we'll get to try Def Leppard Pale when they make a stop at the Denny Sanford Premier Center on July 18.
They've teamed up with Seattle-based Elysian Brewing Company on Def Leppard Pale, a six-percent alcohol brew that will make its debut a few days into their tour with Journey. It will be available at most tour stops and in select bars and restaurants. Yes!
Singer Joe Elliott tells Billboard it "tastes great." He says he wouldn't have even agreed to talk about it if he didn't think so.
“We're not going to drink it just because we put our name on it,” he says, laughing. “I don't walk around wearing our f%#*ing t-shirt.” - Billboard exclusive
Artists with their own brand of beer is not exactly a new venture. Iron Maiden, AC/DC, KISS, The Rolling Stones and Jimmy Buffett have all put their names on very good brews.
If we needed one more reason to look forward to the July 18 concert in Sioux Falls, I think we found it.
