Cover Song Friday – Dancing with a Stranger

Here we are another Friday is upon us and its time for another cover song Friday! This weeks song features the band, 5 Seconds of Summer. Formed in 2011 in Sydney, New South Wales, the group consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Luke Hemmings, lead guitarist Michael Clifford, bassist Calum Hood, and drummer Ashton Irwin.

The group got started posting cover songs on YouTube and gained a huge audience. They gained international fame while touring with boy band One Direction in 2013. Since then the group has released three studio albums. Their latest one, "Youngblood," that was released back in June of 2018. The title track Youngblood is now certified platinum in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.

Recently the group made a stop at the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge to do a cover version of the hit song "Dancing with a Stranger" by Sam Smith and Normani.
