J&L Harley Davidson, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota celebrated their 40th Anniversary Thursday night in a unique and surprising way.

Jim and Lonnie (J&L) Entenman, and brother Yogi didn't have a rockin` music blow out with, brats, burgers, and all the beer available in three counties.

The party, held at the dealership in Sioux Falls, was a mix of cycles, chrome, leather,  Beef Wellington, Chocolate Mousse`, fine wine, and classical/chamber music. A strange, but pleasing blend.

The musical group, Time For Three, added beauty, smiles, laughter, and contentment as they performed tunes familiar and not, surrounded by brightly colored and chromed iron. The "irony" of blending, classical music with classic motorcycles was not lost on the audience.

Like the event, the guests were eclectic. Some were clad in coats, ties, and dresses. Others just put on clean jeans and t-shirts.

You won't see or hear Time for Three at the Buffalo Chip in Sturgis  this summer. You can see and hear them Saturday Night, March 28, performing with the South Dakota Symphony.

It was a pleasant surprise to be invited to the J and L party. It was a wonderful way to commemorate 40 years of a business well run. Thanks to Jim, Lonnie, Yogi, and the rest of the J&L family!
