Choosing a Superintendent for Sioux Falls Public Schools

With the early December announcement that Superintendent Brian Maher would be leaving at the end of the current school year, the district has put out the call for his replacement. And the call is now directed to the public.

The search for the next superintendent includes taking the temperature of Sioux Falls residents and what you believe would be the characteristics and qualities you would like to see in their next leader.

If you are a parent or student, business leader or school staff member, the school district wants your input by taking part in the posted survey on districts website.

From the survey, you will be able to rate areas such as the vision for the future, safety, diversity, teacher effectiveness, day to day operations and much more.

At a special meeting tonight there will be a discussion about the survey and selection process.

The survey is open through January 12.
