Channing Tatum has filed a motion to change his child custody agreement with Jenna Dewan.

Court documents, obtained by Entertainment Tonight, show the 38-year-old is displeased with how he and Dewan have divided their time with 5-year-old daughter Everly. He has requested that the pair get equal time with the child during the week and alternate weekends with each other.

As for holidays, Tatum suggests the he and Dewan, 38, alternate Christmas celebrations and take New Year's Eve every other year. He has proposed that the former couple spend Halloween with their daughter together and plan a joint celebration for Everly's birthday or split the day in half.

Currently, Everly is set to visit with her dad in the home he rented after he and Dewan split in April. Per the documents, Tatum "decorated Everly's room very girly in a fairytale and fantasy theme with pictures of Everly with both [Jenna Dewan] and me on trips." He also created "an outdoor art space in the house, as comfortable as possible for her to facilitate the transitions" and has devoted time to introducing her to "different artists, such as Jackson Pollock, and we try to replicate his work as well as the work of other artists."

Dewan's attorney said in a statement to ET they are looking forward "to resolving these matters" quickly. She added that Dewan's main focus is her daughter's happiness and "comfort."

"We look forward to resolving these matters in a timely and straightforward way. Nothing in the world matters more to Jenna than the comfort and well-being of her daughter Everly. Everything Jenna has done and will continue to do is with that in mind," Lawyer Samantha Spector said.

In the filing, Tatum noted that his daughter's life hasn't been disrupted by the split. He said his daughter has had no problem adjusting to splitting time between two homes.

"In my opinion and experience, Everly has appeared to adjust to our separation and living in two homes exceptionally well. I believe that she will thrive even more with structure and consistency because she is happy and more relaxed when she knows a plan," he said.

Dewan filed for divorce from Tatum in October 2018. The pair had been married for nine years at the time. Their split has been amicable, and the former couple have been seen spending time together with Everly.

Since the split, Tatum has been linked to Jessie J, while Dewan is dating Steve Kazee.
