By this time next year, Brandon Valley High School football players will taking to a new-and-improved field, complete with artificial turf.

According to Argus Leader Media, the Brandon Valley Board of Education has given the go-ahead to install artificial turf on the football field.

The plan is to open the project up for bids in January or February of 2018 with completion in time for the 2018-2019 football season.

Yankton and Mitchell also recently voted to install artificial turf. The hope of Brandon Valley is that all three districts can use the same engineer, driving down the cost.
