It's been just over a month since the last Avengers 2 trailer descended upon us like the mighty fist of Hulk and you'd think that would be enough to satisfy superhero movie fans. But, no, we need more! When is the next Avengers 2 trailer coming?? A recent report claimed that the new Avengers 2 trailer would debut following the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. mid-season premiere on March 3, but it's time to take a closer look to see whether that rumor is legit.

The Projection List noted on their site that the full Avengers 2 trailer would debut on ABC at 9PM ET on March 3. But, with a little digging, we were able to confirm that there will be no new Avengers 2 trailer during the S.H.I.E.L.D. premiere. There is still one more final Avengers 2 trailer that Marvel and Disney are planning on releasing soon, also very likely to be in March, but it won't be in this particular spot.

If it were going to debut in theaters, Chappie, Cinderella or Fast and Furious 7 would be likely candidates. But, both previous Avengers 2 trailers debuted on TV (we're not counting the leak of the first trailer), and if Disney wanted to follow that same plan, they could partner with March Madness to debut the trailer during the Final Four (though that seems unlikely because Disney-owned ESPN has no broadcast rights to the tournament). Whenever this new trailer runs, we hope it finally gives us that first official look at Paul Bettany as Vision that we've been (not-so) patiently waiting for, so we can stop looking at bootleg promo art.

With or without a new Avengers 2 trailer, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns on March 3 with an all-new episode:

In the midseason premiere, “Aftershocks,” Coulson’s team must deal with the consequences of their war with Hydra as shocking revelations threaten to tear them apart, and Hydra makes a dangerous move that may involve a traitor in S.H.I.E.L.D.’s midst.

Avengers 2 opens in theaters on May 1.
