Another Piece of Sculpture Art Stolen in Downtown Sioux Falls
What's up with people stealing the sculpture art in downtown Sioux Falls?
Somebody was at it again, early Sunday morning, October 11 when police received a report saying several people were spotted carrying a sculpture near 8th Street and Phillips Avenue just before 2 AM.
An officer stopped a group of about five individuals near 13th and Phillips. The group told police they saw the sculpture laying on the sidewalk and thought police were too busy so they decided to take it home and call police in the morning.
Sioux Falls police now have the piece in their possession and couldn't say whether it had been damaged.
The name of the sculpture stolen this time is 'Bacchus' and it belongs to the Phillips Avenue Plaza Fountain.
This most recent incident makes the fourth sculpture that has been either vandalized, stolen or damaged this year.
So far, no one has been charged yet in the incident that took place early Sunday morning.
