Ally Brooke addressed criticism she received about her dancing skills while she was in Fifth Harmony during an appearance on Good Morning America on Wednesday (August 21).

"I was in Fifth Harmony and I... there was a lot of dancing and I feel like sometimes some of the dance moves were a little harder and some people would leave some not so nice comments," Brooke shared, referring to unkind comments left about her on the group's YouTube page.

"It wouldn't feel good," she said of the mean comments. "So [Dancing With the Stars] is an opportunity for me to not only prove to them but myself, that I can really tackle this."

On Wednesday, it was announced that Brooke will be a contestant on Season 28 of Dancing With the Stars. The celebrity and professional dancing pairings have not yet been announced, but whoever she is paired with is sure to help her brush her up on her moves.

"I want to be able to help those people who felt like that, too," she continued, referring to anyone who has ever doubted their own abilities. "Anything that they might feel that they are insecure about or they feel uncomfortable with ... [I want to show them] they can go and they can do it."
