Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network is reporting that Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be accepting the record breaking deal the Packers have offered and will not be coming to play for the Denver Broncos in 2022, as many had hoped.

It's been speculated for over a year with many different scenarios on the table, but in the end, nothing changes for the Green Bay Packers or, sadly, the Denver Broncos.

Hey, listen, Aaron. If you don't want us, we don't want you. Signed, every Broncos fan on earth.

Reactions from Broncos fans, and even players, have been as you'd expect.

Denver was widely seen as the favorite spot to land the future Hall of Famer in a trade - forced by Rodgers himself - because his former offensive coordinator and close confidant Nathaniel Hackett was named Head Coach of the Broncos last month. In the end, all the drama and speculation of where Rodgers may or may not play was for nothing, as the Packers stepped up to the table in a big way, backed up the money truck and convinced the reigning MVP of the NFL to most likely finish the rest of his career in Green Bay.

For Denver, the question quickly becomes: ok, now what? Last year's starting QB Teddy Bridgewater is a free agent and will seek employment elsewhere. Popular third stringer Brett Rypien is a restricted free agent. This leaves only on-and-off-again starter Drew Lock on the roster, leaving Broncos fans shrugging as to what - or who - could be next.

For his part, general manager George Paton has said that the team will be aggressive in pursuing the team's next QB, but without Rodgers in the mix, who else might be an option?
