Look Back
It was a week of upsets in this class. Sioux Falls Roosevelt had no answer for the Marshall Tigers on the road Friday night. Marshall, the fourth-ranked team in Class AAA, jumped out to a 7-0 advantage and led wire to wire on its way to a 67-51 victory and giving the Riders their first loss of the season.
"It starts on the defensive end and we didn't play very well defensively tonight," Roosevelt head coach Lee Taylor said. "Give credit to Marshall for executing on offense and dictating play. They were doing what they wanted to do the entire night and we just couldn't stop them."
Roosevelt struggled to shoot 29 percent from the floor.
Meanwhile same night, No. 2 Pierre on a nine-game win streak, fell behind big early at Brookings and fell 66-65. The Govs recovered with a win at home against O'Gorman on Saturday night.
Third-ranked Watertown, lost twice this week. The Arrows fell in overtime at Mitchell (5-13) 54-52 on Thursday and lost at home Friday to Brandon Valley 56-47.
