82-year-old Charged in Hit and Run That Seriously Injured Pedestrian
An elderly driver has been charged after allegedly hitting a pedestrian and fleeing the scene.
According to Dakota News Now, Xe Van Tran was arrested by Sioux Falls Police on Saturday night after striking a pedestrian near the intersection of Rice Street and Jessica Avenue.
Tran initially got out of his vehicle, a 2001 Nissan Xterra, but fled the scene before first responders or law enforcement arrived.

The victim, a 34-year-old man, was taken to a Sioux Falls hospital with serious injuries. There was no update given on his condition.
Tran was charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian, hit-and-run, no driver’s license, and no insurance.
