Our news partner KDLT TV reports that a jury of eight women and four men found former U.S. Senate candidate Dr. Annette Bosworth guilty of six counts of perjury and six counts of filing false documents on Wednesday. The charges stem from her failed U.S. Senate run in 2014.

Bosworth admitted during trial that she was out of the country when she signed her nominating petitions, verifying she circulated them.

Her defense said she was given bad legal advice. The prosecution said she's lying.

Sentencing will be on July 1st in Pierre.  Each of the 12 felony charges carries a maximum sentence of two years in prison and/or a $4,000 fine. She could also lose medical license.

Below are some responses people are posting on Bosworth's facebook page.  Do you think Annette Bosworth should be sentenced to jail time?
