I'm going to warn you right now, I'm going to try my darndest to make all my Throwback Thursday songs somehow Pandemic related until this thing is over. So, be prepared.

I think we are all hoping for a remedy right now, right? Get it?

Anyway, "The Remedy (I Won't Worry)" was our introduction to Jason Mraz. It was on his debut album entitled, Waiting For My Rocket To Come.

The song is about a close friend of Jason's who was diagnosed with cancer and how it changed his outlook on life.

According to Wikipedia, "This song was Mraz's first top-forty hit, reaching number 15 on the US Billboard Hot 100. He would not have a second until 2008's 'I'm Yours.'"

"The Remedy (I Won't Worry)" may have only gone to #15 on the Hot 100, but it peaked at #7 on the Billboard Mainstream Top 40, #4 on the Adult Top 40, and #1 on the Adult Alternative chart!

Personally, I think Jason Mraz doesn't get all the credit he deserves. He has one of the best voices out there and cranks out great music all the time. He's on my concert bucket list. He played in Council Bluffs last Summer and I was so close to going, but didn't. I'm kicking myself now. Gosh, I'm the worst!

Also, his all-female band is called Raining Jane and they played at Morningside College my senior year and we may have gone to a couple of bars with them. They are super cool chicks!
