"Promiscuous" was Nelly Furtado's reemergence on the pop scene. Her previous music was more singer/songwriter and folky and then all of a sudden she hits us with hip-hop infused pop.

The song is basically a back and forth conversation between a couple.

"Promiscuous" was off of Nelly Furtado's third album, Loose. "Promiscuous" also gave Furtado her first #1 single in the US.

The music video features Furtado and Timbaland, obviously, but also has cameos from Keri Hilson and my personal favorite, Justin Timberlake.

The song was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Pop Collaboration with Vocal category but ultimately lost to Stevie Wonder and Tony Bennet.
