This week Bow Wow announced his retirement from the rap game so I thought we could look back on a happier time for Bow Wow.

In 2005, "Let Me Hold You" featuring Omarion was the jam.

"Let Me Hold You" samples Luther Vandross' 1985 version of Brenda Russell's "If Only for One Night".

The song peaked at number #4 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. It held that spot for three weeks and spent a total of twenty-four weeks on the chart. Bow Wow and Omarion achieved their first top ten hit. However, Omarion had previously had a #1 with "Bump, Bump, Bump" as part of B2K.

Bow Wow explained the song in an interview with MTV, "Basically the song is me talking to a girl and telling her, 'These are the things I can do for you. Let me hold you down. This is what I want to do for you as a man. These are the things I'm capable of doing for you if you get with me. Just hear me out.' I'm just really talking to the ladies. The song is really special to me, and I love that song."
