If you are a female around my (young) age of 34, then The Craft was probably a sleepover staple for you.

The Craft was a movie released in 1996 starring Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell, and Rachel True as four teenage girls that start a Coven. Ya know, the usual.

This movie taught me how to play 'Light As A Feather Stiff As A Board' and to be careful who you piss off. These girls got some wicked revenge on a few people. The Craft has a pretty wicked scene at the end full of spiders and mice and bugs and it still gives me the heebie-jeebies.

Of course, since this movie is from the '90s and has a bit of a cult following, let's reboot it! And now we have The Craft Legacy. I'll be honest, I am being very skeptical of this movie. I suppose it's not really a remake, it's more of a sequel. In the trailer, there is a photo of Fairuza Balk's character, Nancy. Spoiler Alert: The first movie didn't end well for her.

Speaking of Fairuza Balk, because of this movie, I will forever and always be afraid of her. She was just too good at being crazy.

In what I've read about the new movie, I'm not sure any of the original cast will make appearances, which is kind of a bummer.

I will give credit where credit is due. I did enjoy that they kept the iconic line "We are the weirdos" in this movie. Classic.

This movie stars Cailee Spaeny, Gideon Adlon, Lovie Simone, and Zoey Luna as the new teen witches. I don't really know much about any of them so I'm reserving judgment until I see the whole movie.

The Craft Legacy is directed by Zoe Lister-Jones who may know from her roles in "Life in Pieces" and "New Girl" and I am all about female directors! Represent!

The movie will be released On Demand on October 28th. Just in time for your Halloween movie binge-fest.

Let's be honest. I'm gonna have to check it out.

Just for the nostalgia factor here is the trailer for the OG The Craft.
