Friday night (7/7) at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minnesota, racing fans will get the opportunity to watch a former NASCAR great in action. He will be racing against the local drivers.

Kenny Schrader will be racing in the A-Mod division against the top points drivers of the area.

It will make for an interesting mix of competition. Schrader, a true professional, against the drivers that drive the legendary half mile track regularly, and know how to get around it well.

Can they stop the the big name driver? I don't think they can. I've watched Schrader on short tracks before. Last time he nearly lapped everybody.

Schrader raced in the NASCAR Cup Series from 1981 to 2013 with great success, as well as other forms of racing. He will participate in an autograph session following the night's races.

Sprint cars will join the competition as well Friday night at Jackson. Racing starts at 7:30 PM.
