Growing up in Wisconsin, it was nothing but deer hunting, snowmobiling, cheese, and the Packers. In 1991 my uncle got a job in the front office with the Pack (during the whole Reggie White Brett Favre era). Finally in 1996, when they were going to the Super Bowl for the first time since Super Bowl 2, we had a chance to go.

The game was played in New Orleans, the same city as this years. I think I was like 16 or 17 at that time. We got to go to the Commissioners' party and let me tell you, wearing khaki pants and a nice dress shirt made you feel out of place.

Onto the game itself, I had my big cup of Mountain Dew and there was no way I was gonna miss any of this. Fast forward to the 3rd quarter, the Patriots scored a touchdown to cut the lead down to 6 at 27-21. During the commercial break I REALLY  had to run to the bathroom and the next thing I know, while I am leaving the restroom, I look up at the TV monitor above the concession area and I see Desmond Howard, the Super Bowl MVP, scoring on the kickoff return! The one big highlight of that Super Bowl and I was in the can!

Well the packers went onto win the game 35-21. Not many people get to experience that event and I had the honor of doing so. It was an experience I will never forget. In 1999 my uncle took a job with the Seattle Seahawks so since then I am a Hawks fan!
