A situation with what police are calling a barricaded subject in southwest Sioux Falls on Sunday afternoon ended with the arrest of a 30-year-old man.

Police say they were called around 1:15pm to the 6200 block of West 65th Street, where a man was reportedly threatening another man with a handgun.

The armed man had fired a round into the ground outside the home, and when he wouldn't comply with officers, the area was evacuated and the emergency response team was called.

Around 2:30pm the man moved into the garage and talked with officers, but when he again refused to comply, a Highway Patrol trooper used a stun gun and the man was arrested.

Police say Anthony Pritchard was charged with two counts of domestic aggravated assault, reckless discharge of a firearm and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
