Katy Perry Debuts Official ‘Rise’ Music Video

Get ready to hear a lot of Katy Perry's latest song, "Rise" because it is the official Olympic song for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio!

The opening ceremonies are tonight, but that didn't stop Katy from premiering the video yesterday on NBC's Olympic preview special.

There was an unofficial video released earlier with snippets of Olympic athletes doing all sorts of awesome sports stuff, but now we have the official video featuring Katy herself.

In the video, Katy is hindered by a parachute that I think is supposed to represent struggles and pain and hard times. Of course, Katy has to overcome the parachute, and all it represents, and in the end 'rise'. At least, that's what I got from the clip. It's very deep and metaphorical!
