If you remember the GREAT IRONY DEBATE of the 1990s then you were probably there when Alanis Morissette sent English majors (and those of us with crushes on them) into fits of rage over her song Ironic. A song about a bunch of coincidence, none of which were particularly ironic. Rainy weddings and wine soaked flies fed newsgroup debates in dorms everywhere. Not since Reality Bites demanded that you to define irony was the high brow cousin of sarcasm so passionately discussed.

I remember. I was there. It made us feel smart.

Now, Eliza and Rachael Hurwitz have corrected that historical wrong. They took it upon themselves to rework the song, to make it truly ironic. Listen:
