11 Fun Things to Do This Weekend

Tuesday-Sunday, September 1-6, 2015 at Willow Run Golf Course. It's the first ever LPGA event in South Dakota. Part of the LPGA’s Symetra Tour which helps develop female golfers to take their game pro on the LPGA Tour. Events include a free kids clinic on September 1, trick shot entertainer Dan Boever September 1 and 2; David Feherty’s, Feherty Live on September 3 and Dueces Wild Deuling Pianos on September 4.  Final rounds of golf will be played September 6.

The South Dakota State Fair takes place in Huron Thursday through Monday, September 3-7, 2015. Enjoy the carnival, food vendors, free entertainment, wine pavilion, vendors and grandstand entertainment. Friday night is Kenny Rogers, Saturday is The Band Perry, Sunday is Huey Lewis and the News and Monday is Monster Trucks and Soccer Ball Demo Derby.

Friday September 4, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Downtown River Greenway Amphitheater. Meet live animals from the Great Plains Zoo Express.  Enjoy the educational and entertaining presentation.

Friday, September 4, 2015 starting at 6:00 PM at the 8^th and Railroad Center, 401 E. 8^th Street.  Live music, food vendors, beer and wine, shopping and more. Admission is free.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, September 4-6, 2015. For the last regular run of the season, they're bringing back the most popular movies of the season. The first movie is "Minions" and the second is "Jurassic World." Showtime is around 8:00. Come hungry, because there will be lots of sales on food items as they clear out their inventory.

Friday, September 4 and Monday, September 7, 2015 at Catfish Bay Water Ski Park. Showtime is 7:00 PM Friday and 2:00 PM on Labor Day.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday, September 4-6, 2015. Walkk through an 11-acre life-size corn maze in the shape of a turkey. Open Fridays from 5-9pm, Saturdays Noon-9pm and Sundays Noon-5pm. Located 2 ½ miles east of Harrisburge, then 1 ½ miles south on Highway 11. Admission is $7 for adults, ages 5-10 $5, 4 and under free.  

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 4-6, 2015. The event takes place just outside of Worthing, South Dakota. Five stages of music, over 70 bands, 200 acres of fun! Featuring Switchfoot, 10^th Ave. North, Matthew West, Colton Dixon and many more! The event is free, but you must have a ticket.  On-site camping, community worship, children’s activities, art gallery, extreme sports, festival food, coffeehouse, vendors and more.

Saturday, September 5, 2015, 8:00 PM at Howard Wood Field. The O’Gorman Knights vs the Roosevelt Rough Riders.

Saturday, Sunday and Monday, September 5-7, 2015 in Wagner, South Dakota. Three big days of fun. Midway with carnival rides and food vendors, kids’ parade at 10:00 AM Saturday, Rodeo Saturday and Sunday, Minute to Win It Saturday night. Festival in the Park featuring a variety of arts, crafts and merchandise booths, food vendors and entertainment on Sunday and Monday. Figure 8 Races Sunday.  Dustin Evans and Good Times Sunday. 115^th Labor Day Parade at 10:00 AM Monday, Wagner Speedway season championships Monday night.

Saturday, Sunday and Monday, September 5-7, 2015. The Canaries host the Joplin Blasters. 6:05 PM Saturday, 4:05 PM Sunday and 12:05 PM Monday at the Canaries baseball stadium.
