Who is the Most Overrated Rock Band in History?

I was listening to the radio the other day when the song "I Wanna Rock and Roll All Night" by KISS started to play. Usually, when one of their songs comes on, I half-heartedly listen to the song.

For whatever reason, this time I really listened... and suddenly realized how bad that song really is.

The more I listened, the more I realized how few lyrics the song actually has. I even looked it up and I am not kidding, this is how long the chorus is:

"I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day
I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day
I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day
I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day
I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day

How in the world is KISS considered one of rock and roll's most iconic bands? Yeah, they look cool and put on a great stage show. But musically? Yeah, not so much.

That led me to post on Facebook that they were in fact rock's most overrated band. Can of worms... opened. Needless to say, people had some other nominees of their own.

I decided this needed some additional research. So I scoured dozens of "Most Overrated" lists to come up with an extensive list of all those bands music lovers consider overrated. Now, this list is "extensive" and not "comprehensive." There were just too many arguments for too many bands.

For this list, I included any band that showed up on 6 or more lists. And I only included bands that were "rated" to begin with. Let's face it, there are some bands that had a few hits, but were never considered great bands to begin with: we're looking at you Nickleback, Creed.

We also didn't include newer bands. We all know that when a hot new band comes out, people immediately start screaming "so and so is so overrated," when in fact they haven't been around long enough to be judged.

So, with that, I now invite you to vote on which band you think is THE most overrated on my list of the most Overrated Rock Bands in History!
