Remember when Lindsay Lohan tried to be a singer?

Well, it was back in 2004 at the height of Lohan mania. Hence the song "Rumors." It was Lindsay's clap back at the tabloids and the media.

It was the first single off of her debut album, Speak.

According to Wikipedia, "The video was nominated for Best Pop Video at the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards and reached the top position on MTV's Total Request Live."

The song wasn't a hugely successful in America. It peaked at #24 on Billboard Mainstream Top 40. However, the song was certified Gold.

The music video was directed by Jake Nava. The video shows Lindsay on the run from the paparazzi while trying to have a night out. Up in the club, there is a good looking dude and then somehow she ends up in a cage? Then the video ends with Lindsay on the roof, because why not. There's a dance sequence while a helicopter hovers around. The end.

Seriously guys, why can't we just let her live?
