Throwback Thursday ‘Amazed’ by Lonestar (1999)

Happy Valentine's Day!

I was going to do a sort of cynical, anti-Valentine's Day song, but then I changed my mind.

"Amazed" by Lonestar was a huge crossover hit! It was released in 1999 and I remember it being a big hit at 8th grade school dances!

"Amazed" was the second single from Lonestar's third album, Lonely Grill. 

According to Wikipedia, "A remix of the song was released in December 1999, and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 2 on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks charts in 2000. The song has sold over 1,650,000 digital copies in the US as of February 2016."

The song also peaked at #7 on the Billboard Adult Top 40 and Mainstream Top 40 chart.

"Amazed" and "Inside Your Heaven" by Carrie Underwood are the only country songs in the 00's to crossover and hit number one on the Hot 100.

Rumor has it that "Amazed" was offered to Boys II Men, but they turned it down. Ooops.
