The Weeknd has shared a hellish new video for My Dear Melancholy's "Call Out My Name," a standout track largely believed to be about Selena Gomez.

Directed by Grant Singer, who also helmed visuals for "The Hills," "Starboy," and "Can't Feel My Face," the clip plays like a gothic-themed nightmare, following the Weeknd as he ventures through a bizarre, shadowy town. It opens with the R&B crooner cloaked in all black as he wanders a deserted street, soon vomiting a colony of bats that subsequently turn into dust.

The video briefly cuts to black and white as he stomps through an empty movie theater, then wanders through the screen and winds up in the woods. There are various animals interspersed throughout — an antelope, a buffalo — as well as a white, alien-like figure that peers out at him from a futuristic high-rise balcony.

"Call Out My Name" marks the first official video to come from My Dear Melancholy, which The Weeknd surprise-released in late March. He previously shared vertically-oriented, Spotify-exclusive videos for "Call Out My Name" and "Try Me," as well as a mini-documentary titled "He Was Never There" chronicling the creation of the EP.
