Star Wars: Rogue One

Fresh from its premiere this morning on Good Morning America, here it is: The new Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer. Gareth Edwards directs this direct prequel to the original Star Wars about a plucky band of rebels charged with finding the weakness in the Galactic Empire’s new weapon, the Death Star.

If the prospect of watching thousands of athletes from over 200 countries compete for sporting immortality wasn’t enough to get you watching, there is now another reason for you to turn on the Olympics this week. According to a short teaser that ran during today’s events, NBC will be airing a brand new trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story as part of their Thursday night lineup. Although Rogue One takes place shortly before the events of A New Hope, it does feature some tech and vehicles that we haven’t previously seen in the Star Wars universe. That’s already inspired a bit of nitpicking among fans, but we can all probably agree that this new addition is pretty cool: It’s called a U-Wing, and we’re going to be seeing a lot more of it when Rogue One hits theaters in December.
