The official, unofficial start of summer in Sioux Falls is marked when the public outdoor pools open. It's coming up fast, time to get your swim passes renewed.

The Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation department announced the closure dates of the outdoor swimming facilities for the 2017 season.

Tis the season to open up the city's outdoor pools. They will open, weather permitting of course, on Friday June 2.

This summer you might need to think twice about heading to the local pool because there could be a lot more poo in the pool.
