Just a few days after being waived by the Miami Heat, Mitchell native Mike Miller is getting some interest from a pair of NBA teams.

SB Nation is reporting that both the Cleveland Cavaliers and Houston Rockets are looking to land the forward.

Miller is on the waiver wire through Thursday, meaning teams under the salary cap, like the Cavaliers, can place blind bids on him for any amount available to their cap space.

Money is a bit tight in Houston these days after the Rockets signed Dwight Howard earlier this month, but head coach Kevin McHale's offense could be a good fit for a shooter like Miller.

The Heat used the NBA's amnesty provision to waive Miller Tuesday.  The provision allows teams to cut one player, with pay, while avoiding luxury tax on that contract.
