Let's face it, in the first half of 2020 we've all seen our share of things and done our share of things that we never thought we'd ever experience in our lifetime.

The COVID-19 outbreak has changed so many things in our world, even how we dress on a daily basis.

I don't know about you, but this pandemic forced me to work from home for six weeks and while you were supposed to approach your job exactly the same way, there were certain aspects of the 'work experience' that went out the window when your temporary office was in your basement or at your kitchen table.

One of those was what you wore every day.

After just a few days working at home, 'business casual' took on a whole new meaning. Maybe you changed out of your pajamas, maybe you didn't. If you did change clothes, you probably didn't do much more than sweat pants and a t-shirt.

The one exception? If you were participating in a work-related video call. Then you looked presentable from the waist up, but what was out of frame was another story.

What I never envisioned was that some of the 'shelter at home' clothing choices would become their own fashion movement.

Yahoo!Life is spotlighting a new trend with their look at Bedroom Bikinis: 13 Ways Everyone's Wearing Their Swimsuits Inside.

The website focuses on a number of different combos that include swimwear with a whole host of other items, some that make perfect sense, others that are a huge stretch of the imagination.

Everything from a $13 bikini bottom to a $395 pair of twill trousers.

Other items they recommend pairing a bikini with:

  • T-shirt
  • Jeans
  • Jewelry
  • Wool Jacket
  • Shorts
  • Belt
  • Button-Down Shirt
  • Straw Hat

What fashion statement will you be making this summer?
