Another one of Minnesota’s many craft breweries just announced it's ready to pour its last pint. As the final days draw near, loyal fans are raising their glasses one more time to say goodbye to a place that’s brewed more than just beer—it’s brewed memories.

Popular Coon Rapids Brewery Closed Earlier This Summer

We'd heard earlier this summer that one longtime brewery here in the North Star State would soon be putting the pint glasses on the shelf for the final time and was closing permanently. That sad news was from Alloy Brewing Company in Coon Rapids, which first posted the news about its closing in a post on its Facebook page in late June.

I've been a big fan of the incredible craft beer industry and all the great local breweries across our state for years now. The brewery, located on Lyndale Avenue South ('in the heart of Uptown Minneapolis,' as its website says), posted on its Facebook page that LynLake Brewery, Taproom, Kitchen, Rooftop, and Event Venue would close its doors for good on Sunday, October 5th. The post didn't specifically say what led to the closing, and thanked customers for the 'last 11 years.'

25 Highest-Rated Breweries in Minnesota

To help you discover some of the best local brews, Stacker put together a list of Minnesota's top-rated breweries based on Tripadvisor data. Tripadvisor's rankings are a mix of several factors, including overall rating, user reviews, and page traffic. This means that even a brewery with a perfect 5 out of 5 rating might be outranked by one with a 4 out of 5 if it has more reviews or higher visibility.
