Iowa Couple Arrested for Having Sex At… a Casey’s?!?
And that, kids, is how I met your mother!
In all seriousness, where do people get off? Well, the title kind of explains that, in this case, it was at a Casey's gas station. Indeed, a couple was arrested over the weekend for having sex at a Casey's in southeast Iowa. If you're thinking public indecency was the only charge, you'd be mistaken. This is the kind of story where piecing the charges together makes your mind conjure up stray fragments and ideas of ribald situations fit for a Hangover movie.
24-year-old Brian Anjain of Ottuma and 44-year-old Latashia Cooke of Davenport were arrested and brought in on a litany of charges after trespassing onto the property of a Casey's located at 921 East Main Street at 3:56am on August 11th. According to the arresting officers, Anjain and Cooke "engaged in a public display of sexual intercourse." Anjain was seen having bloodshot, watery eyes and "an odor of an alcoholic beverage."
Anjain was charged with public intoxication; 1st offense, trespassing; 1st offense interference with official acts, public nudity; and public urination or defecation.
Meanwhile, Cooke was charged with public nudity; public urination or defecation; and provided false identification and information.

Additional information from law enforcement includes that Anjain was commanded not to move and stay where he was, but instead ran from the officers on scene. He was subsequently wrestled to the ground by official personnel.
Both Anjain and Cooke were arrested and taken to the Wapello County Jail. Anjain pleaded guilty to all charges and was sentenced to ten days in the county jail. Meanwhile, Cooke was released with promise to appear to an initial appearance on August 13th.
