Food Network Says This Is The Best Slice In North Dakota
You really can't go wrong with pizza. A slice of cold pizza in the morning? Perfect.
An afternoon slice for lunch? Delicious.
Dinner? Even dessert pizza--no matter what time of day it is, pizza is there to save the day.
Did you know that in the Unites States 3 million pizzas are sold each year. The Washington Post says that's 100 acres of pizza per day. To say we're obsessed might be an understatement.
The Best Pizza
There is much debate on what kind of pizza is the best. In New York, it's thin crust. In Chicago, it's deep dish. So, what make a slice of pizza delicious? In my opinion, there has to be a lot of cheese, but and just enough sauce, to balance out the piece without it getting sloppy.
Food Network wrote a piece on the best pizza in the country and named the best places to grab a slice in each state. It said North Dakota's best slice can be found in downtown Fargo at Spicy Pie.
This is a New York-style pizzeria that's specialties include margherita, the Carnivore, and the chicken bacon ranch. I can't speak to whether or not this pizza is hands-down the best, as I've never been there, but the reviews look pretty good.
Honestly, I'm more of a deep-dish girl, but if it's as good as everyone is saying, I might have to switch it up and give it a try.
