Davenport made a huge leap this year in the U.S. News and World Report rundown of the 25 Most Affordable Cities in the U.S., up from 38th in 2023 to fifth in 2024.

The city of 101,979 has a median household income of $67,197 and a low 23 percent of income spent on living expenses.

Unemployment is also low at less than five percent (4.95%), while the median home price is $170,262 and the median monthly rent is $1,036.
