No indication from them as to what exactly they used to base these recommendations on, but here goes:
South Dakota: El Columpio - Mitchell
This East Spruce Street restaurant has an impressive 4.7 Yelp score and features a lot of traditional Mexican favorites as well as specialties like Chicken Mango Salad and a Shrimp Queso Burrito.
You also have not one, but two patio options to choose from - one on ground level and one on the rooftop.
(NOTE: North Dakota's top choice Plaza Azteca in Fargo, also has a Sioux Falls location)
Iowa: El Bajio Mexican Restaurant - Cedar Rapids
This Gateway Place SW spot was opened in 2016 by a family that relocated from California.
Everything, from the tortillas to the tamales, is made from scratch in-house.
Enjoy items like Ceviche, Enchiladas Mole, and Pastel Tres Leches.
Minnesota: Tacos El Kevin - Minneapolis
This restaurant has a physical location on Portland Avenue South and a food truck as well.
Fan favorites are Tacos Dorados, Suadero Tacos, Tacos Pastor, Carne Asada.
