Social media has an endless supply of individuals who push out all kinds of content that usually consists of round-the-clock self-promotion.

But occasionally, one of these so-called 'influencers' stumbles across something interesting that has nothing to do with them.

He's A Big Deal Online

Case in point, the YouTuber, online personality, and online streamer who calls himself 'IShowSpeed'.

His real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr., a 20-year-old Ohio native who launched his first gaming channel in 2016, and has eventually settled on soccer-related content and launching a rap career.

He's been getting a lot of notice from the online community, winning  'Breakout Streamer of the Year' 2022 and 'Streamer of the Year' at the 2024 Streamer Awards.

Recently, with his more than 44 million followers along for the ride on social media, he made his way to South Dakota, spending a day taking in the sights in the Black Hills.

He claims to be a friend of Sir Timothy John Berners-Lee, the English computer scientist best known as the inventor of the World Wide Web, HTML, the URL system, and HTTP.

Whether any of that is true is unknown, but it certainly made for an interesting viral moment.
