The International Female Ride Day event is designed to highlight women motorcycle riders in the area, but all riders are welcome. The ride is set to take place at Vern Eide Motoplex in Sioux Falls on Saturday, May 6.

It will last approximately two and a half hours, beginning at 10:00 a.m. led by Vern Eide apparel consultant and two-wheel enthusiast Lynnette “Nettie” Lawrence with the company of the local Litas ladies motorcycle riding chapter.

Local female-owned vendors will open shop at noon, offering a variety of items such as headbands, beauty & cosmetic personal care items, fragrance & scent products, and delicious sweets.

There will also be food trucks on-site, including Little Prairie Coffee Co and Lunchbox FT, serving up breakfast and lunch selections until 4:00 p.m.

At 3:00 p.m., there will be a raffle for door prizes. To be eligible to win, participants must be present at the time of the drawing and redeem certificates on the same day.

Additional raffle entries may be purchased for $1.00 each, and all proceeds collected will be donated to the Children's Home Shelter for Family Safety (formerly Children’s Inn).

The event aims to build lifelong bonds with local women while having fun exploring the natural landscapes and historical landmarks of the region.

According to statistics, the number of female motorcyclists has nearly doubled since 2009, and female motorcycle clubs have grown increasingly popular as women are drawn to motorcycling for the camaraderie, outdoorsy feel, and action.

So, at 10 AM, on May 6, at Vern Eide Motoplex, join the ride, the fundraising, and the fun!
