The Cadbury Bunny Contest is in full swing and in a heartwarming and inspiring story, a rescued Pekin duck from South Dakota named Ping has become a finalist for 2023.

That's right, it's Pekin duck, (a breed of American duck) not Peking duck (a saucy Chinese recipe including duck) as someone mentioned here at work.

According to Dakota News Now, Ping was rescued by her owner after she was abandoned in a cardboard box on the side of a busy street. She now has a loving home and is in the running to become the next Cadbury Bunny!

The annual Cadbury Bunny tryouts are a beloved tradition, with animals from all over the country competing for the coveted role. The winner is featured in a Cadbury Easter commercial, and Ping has made it to the final round of the competition. Despite facing tough competition from other adorable rescued animals, Ping has a real shot at it.

You can vote for Ping every day through March 14th. A winner will then be chosen on March 21, and be featured in Cadbury's Clucking Bunny commercials. The winner receives $5,000 and another $5,000 will be given to the animal shelter of the winner's choosing.

Ping's owner says,

Ping lives for cuddling with her dog siblings, purring, and laying an egg every morning. She feels her best when wearing bling necklaces

Ping's journey from a rescued duck to a finalist for the Cadbury Bunny tryouts is a testament to the power of love and the resilience of animals. She is a shining example of how every animal deserves a chance at a happy and fulfilling life, and her story is sure to inspire others to adopt and rescue animals needing forever homes.

13 Times Sioux Falls Made it into a 'Jeopardy!' Question

If the world was divided into Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune people, I would be down for Jeopardy! all the way. It's a lot more fun, it makes me feel smart because I can retain lots of trivia, and I am a horrible speller. So Wheel is out, no whammies.

Recently I discovered (I mean wasted a lot of time on) a website that is an archive of clues that have been on Jeopardy!.

While digging around the archive, I wanted to find out how often Sioux Falls came up in a question (Answer) on the show. Since 1990 Sioux Falls has been part of a question or an answer 13 times.
