If you have branches and yard waste to drop off, here's what you need to know:

The Sioux Falls Regional Landfill has set up two drop-off sites that are free for residents to drop off branches, and leaf yard waste.

The drop-off sites are for residential use only. The sites will accept drop-offs from cars, pick-ups, full-size SUVs, vans, and trailers. Lawn service companies and commercial businesses are not permitted to use the drop-off sites. They must go directly to the Sioux Falls Regional Landfill.

Important reminders:

  • Branches and leaves must be placed in separate piles.
  • Leaves must be removed from plastic bags.
  • All loads must be tarped or in an enclosed vehicle.
  • Plastic bags, stumps, rubble, and household garbage are not accepted.

Here are where both drop-off sites are located:

North Lyon Boulevard, near the Sioux Empire Fairgrounds. The best access routes to this location are from West 12th Street or West Madison Street.

The Chambers Street location, near the City’s Household Hazardous Waste Facility, is accessible from North Cliff Avenue.
