DQ Spreading Spring Happiness with Free Ice Cream Cones March 20th
Welcome to spring!
It might not totally feel like spring quite yet here in the Sioux Empire, but according to the calendar Thursday, (March 20) is the first official day of spring.
The season of spring officially arrived at 4:01 AM this morning.

That means the days will start getting nicer, sunnier, and longer moving forward, in theory. Keep in mind, this is South Dakota we are talking about, so, anything is possible, especially when it comes to the weather.
On top of it being the first day of spring, it's also the "International Day of Happiness." A day set aside for caring and sharing.
I don't know about you, but, just the mention of the word spring brings me happiness. I get giddy just knowing that another South Dakota winter is finally in the rearview mirror.
If the thought of spring isn't enough to move your personal happiness meter today, and you're looking for something extra to put a smile on your face, the folks at Dairy Queen would like to do a little sharing of their own.
Today, participating Dairy Queen locations throughout the Sioux Falls area and across the country are sharing their delicious ice cream by celebrating Free Cone Day.
Dakota News Now reports that participating Dairy Queen's are serving up one free small vanilla ice cream cone to customers all day long during business hours on Thursday, (March 20).
You too can share the gift of happiness by helping out the Children's Miracle Network today. For a $1.00 donation, have your free cone dipped with your favorite DQ dipping sauce. All the proceeds that DQ collects from that today will go directly to help out the kids and families served by CMN.
Remember, Free Cone Day is only happening on Thursday, (March 20) at participating DQ locations throughout the country. Limit one cone per person while supplies last.
Welcome to spring, and ice cream-eating weather!
